C6 Corvette Module Replacement Basics

Guidance for shopping used or rebuilt C6 electronic modules, including VIN-lock and programming considerations.

Common C6 module needs

C6 Corvettes (2005-2013) often need body control, keyless entry, ABS, and related modules as electronics age. Base, Z06, ZR1, and Grand Sport cars can share some units and differ on others. Always match year and package notes on the listing.

Filter the C6 generation page by year and rebuilt or used condition when you are hunting modules specifically.

VIN-locked replacements

Some GM modules are VIN-locked. A used module alone may not plug-and-play without programming or cloning. Product pages and rebuilding services call out when reprogramming is part of the solution.

Ask Zora or contact the yard before buying if you are unsure whether your car needs a programmed unit. Buying the wrong unprogrammed module creates downtime.

Core programs on rebuilt modules

Rebuilt modules may include a core charge. Plan to return your old module promptly after install so you can recover the deposit when the core passes inspection. See the core returns guide for packaging and tracking tips.
